(TDN): Zendai Art Hotel, a luxury 5-star hotel opening next year in Shanghai, has recently joined Preferred Hotels & Resorts. Zendai Art Hotel is one of only four hotels in China admitted to this prestigious collection of 222 luxury independent hotels and resorts.

(TDN): At the end of the second quarter of the calendar year, the Canadian hotel development pipeline includes 223 projects comprising 26,172 rooms, according to the June 2009 STR/TWR/Dodge Construction Pipeline Report released this week. This represents a 6.9-percent increase in the number of rooms in the pipeline compared to May 2009 and a 6.0-percent increase in the number of rooms in the pipeline (more…)

(TDN): Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. announced that The St. Regis Monarch Beach resort will continue to operate business as usual following a consensual transfer by its owner to Citi, the lender, which now owns the 400-room hotel.
